Snow blind? 5 thoughts on 'Game of Thrones' Episode 5

If you didn't know "Game of Thrones," if you hadn't been watching from when it all started seven seasons ago, you might think not much happened in Sunday's episode: Some guys met up, and they met some other guys, and then all those guys went for a heavily armed walk in the northern cold.

But what a crew it is that Jon Snow assembled to _ spoilers are coming _ go bag one of the Night King's undead army soldiers to bring back south to prove to the rival queens that the zombie threat is more pressing than their disagreement over the Iron Throne.

There's a touch of the safari to this mission, of the dentist from Minnesota or the offspring of the Manhattan real estate family going into the wild to bag a trophy. The key difference is that there's also more than a touch of the foolhardy here.
