In Chicago indie music, one band is rarely enough. Whether it's a function of the Midwestern work ethic, a distaste for "normal" day jobs or creative obsession, many of the city's musicians are multi-taskers.
Trevor Shelley de Brauw is no exception. He's best known for his work with art-metal quartet Pelican, but he's also making waves with instrumental trio RLYR (pronounced "Relayer") and plays in at least two other bands. In addition, he released a solo album, "Uptown" (Flenser), earlier this year.
