MONTREAL - At the 2016 NHL entry draft, the Blackhawks traded the rights of restricted free agent Andrew Shaw to the Canadiens for a pair of second-round picks. With the first of those picks, the Hawks selected Alex DeBrincat, an undersized but prolific winger in the Ontario Hockey League.
