LOS ANGELES - The public-relations nightmare took shape a year ago, the Monday after Thanksgiving. The Los Angeles Rams had just been blown out by New Orleans, 49-21, to drop to 4-7. The team's inaugural season back in Los Angeles was careening off the rails, and coach Jeff Fisher's job was in serious jeopardy.
