In the end, people want peace, not divisive politics: Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia

Hailing from two different generations in politics, Kamal Nath is a contemporary of Jyotiraditya's father, the late Madhavrao Scindia, and has been witness to the turbulent JP years, followed by the Emergency. Jyotiraditya, on the other hand, is seen as a confidant of Rahul Gandhi, and part of his young brigade. The duo spoke about their beginnings in politics, how it has changed and what lies in store for the Congress.

Kamal Nath: I strayed into politics. I'm in it by default and not by design. I was with Sanjay Gandhi in school and gradually got sucked into it. We had a family business and I thought I would help it grow. Then came the Emergency and I found myself more and more involved with Sanjay and at that time with Mrs Indira Gandhi.
