    According to multiple media outlets, the White House plans to withdraw its controversial nomination of Kathleen Hartnett White to head the Council on Environmental Quality.

    the decision to drop Hartnett White's nomination. Citing anonymous administration says Harnett's nomination couldn't win enough favorable support, "with some Senate Republicans raising questions about her expertise."
