The central idea behind iCloud is that Apple’s service can securely store all of your photos, videos, documents, music, and apps – and then keep everything up to the second across all your devices. The thinking is that whenever you need access to something, it’ll be ready and waiting, regardless of the device you happen to be using at the time.
