WHAT MAKES A “BEST” FOOD?

We applied a strict set of criteria in selecting these products. Foods with the most protein, fiber, and healthy fats for the fewest calories and added sugars often won their categories. Organic products or those with fewer ingredients broke ties. We favored healthy, unprocessed full-fat foods over reduced-fat or nonfat foods, because they won’t make you fat or contribute to heart disease as once thought. And, of course, taste.
