'Lamb the Sham' beats 'Trump the Chump'

It's only one of 435 congressional districts. And, because of reapportionment, it won't even exist six months from now. But anybody who underestimates the significance of what happened in Pennsylvania's 18th congressional district this week badly misreads the political mood of the moment.

On one level, Democrat Conor Lamb was able to eke out a razor-thin margin over Republican Rick Saccone in a forgotten corner of Pennsylvania, winning by only some 627 votes. Who cares?
