Princess Kate walked into the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace in London on July 9 with her hands full: Snoozing contentedly amid the click of cameras and the clamor of helicopters overhead was 3-month-old Prince Louis, dressed in a flowing, floor-length christening gown rich in history. A few steps ahead, Prince William held the hands of the couple’s older children, 5-year-old Prince George and 3-year-old Princess Charlotte, as he urged them to greet the clergymen at the chapel door. “Well done!” he told them. “They looked like a proud big brother and sister,” says Amaia Arrieta, the designer of George’s outfit. “As a family picture, it was very cute.” And like so many parents before her, Kate shared a simple wish with Archbishop Justin Welby, who also conducted George’s and Charlotte’s christening ceremonies. Pointing to her sleeping son, she said, “Let’s hope he stays like this!”
