Ryu, Turner shine as Dodgers complete sweep of Padres

LOS ANGELES - Justin Turner pulled Hyun-Jin Ryu aside as Ryu left the mound at Dodger Stadium on Sunday afternoon. It was the sixth inning of a game which the Los Angeles Dodgers secured, in part, because of Ryu's bat and maintained, in part, because of his arm. Turner distilled Ryu's performance into a succinct message.
"Good pitching," Turner told Ryu. "Better hitting."
It was Ryu who sparked the Dodgers with a two-out single in the fifth inning of a 7-3 victory over San Diego.
