CBS CEO Leslie Moonves expected to resign after new sexual harassment allegations
Bowing to pressure brought on by a sexual harassment scandal, CBS Corp. Chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves was expected to resign late Sunday, according to two people familiar with the matter who were not authorized to comment publicly.
Negotiations over the terms of his departure accelerated after a new report Sunday in the New Yorker magazine, which detailed six women's allegations of sexual misconduct involving Moonves in the 1980s and 1990s. Now 12 women have alleged that Moonves made inappropriate advances toward them.
Moonves will leave without a severance package, according to the sources. Instead, the CBS board will wait until the conclusion of an investigation by two prominent law firms into allegations of misconduct. Once that report is delivered, CBS will begin to negotiate the financial
