Swimmer Dead After Shark Attack On Cape Cod

A man in his mid-20s was bitten 300 feet off the shoreline of Wellfleet, Massachusetts on Saturday. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A swimmer has died after being bitten by a shark in the waters off Wellfleet, Massachusetts, in what appears to be the state's first fatal shark attack in more than 80 years.

The attack occurred on Saturday near Newcomb Hollow Beach on Cape Cod. Wellfleet that the victim was a man in his mid-20s, but his identity has not been disclosed.
