Celebrating Australasian cruising

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia hosted its 17th Annual Cruise Industry Awards in March at the Star Event Centre, Sydney, to honour the best of Australasian cruising. Some 500 members and partners of the Australian and New Zealand cruise industry gathered for the event, enjoying entertainment from dance’s Natalie Barr. Twenty awards were presented in total, and it was an exceptionally exciting evening for Bicton Travel WA, which was awarded Australian Cruise Agency of the Year for the fifth consecutive year, while in New Zealand, first place was taken out by Bon Voyage Cruise & Travel. Notably, Ted Blamey was inducted into the Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding involvement in the industry for the past 30 years, and his contribution to its continual growth.
