MATERIALS

• 90cm (1yd) black and white spot fabric (background)

• 1.2m (1 1/4yd) backing fabric

• Three squares, 23cm (9in) of assorted bright solid fabrics (flower petals)

• 10 x 20cm (4 x 8in) solid yellow fabric (flower centres)

• 35cm ( 3/8yd) bright pink print fabric (binding)

• Batting at least 120 x 100cm (47 x 39 1/2in)

• Perlé 8 thread in colours to match the flower petals

• Size 10 or 11 milliner’s (straw) needle (appliqué)

• Size 9 embroidery needle (hand quilting)
