MATERIALS

• 1m (1 1/8yd) cream with pink pin dot print fabric (centre background)

• 1m (1 1/8yd) cream floral print fabric (border)

• 20cm ( 1/4yd) lightweight cream fabric (pocket linings)

• 20cm (8in) square each of blue stripe, pink gingham, orange geometric and yellow stripe fabrics (pockets) plus hot pink (rose appliqué)

• 15cm (6in) square each of aqua, three different light greens, pink, yellow ombre, medium green and orange fabrics (appliqué)

• 10cm (4in) square each of dark, medium and light green fabrics (rose leaves)

• 1.1m (1 1/4yd) backing fabric

• 40cm ( 1/2yd) solid cream fabric (border binding)

• 40cm ( 1/2yd) cream small-scale print fabric (binding)

• Batting at least 100cm

10mm ( 3/8in) bias bar or cardboard strip – see Note

• Erasable fabric-marking pen

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• Sewing machine

• General sewing supplies

Stitches used:

French knot, outline stitch, stem stitch, straight stitch

Finished size:

90cm (36in) square
