After 10 years living mostly in Asia as a trailing spouse, in late 1997 we settled back in New Zealand, in Havelock North, in the Hawkes Bay area. It has a village atmosphere, no traffic lights and, most importantly, no traffic jams. We designed and had built a contemporary home on a hill on the outskirts of the village.
