MATERIALS

• 30cm ( 3/8yd) ecru handkerchief linen (outer cover, strap and pocket lining)
• Fat eighth white sparse floral print fabric (inner organiser)
• 20cm ( 1/4yd) white medium floral print fabric (inner organiser)
• 10cm ( 1/8yd) pink dense floral print fabric (inner organiser and tab ties)
• 25cm ( 1/4yd) lightweight fusible batting
• 30cm ( 3/8yd) red small floral print fabric (binding and trims)
• 35 x 45cm (13 x 17in) clear fusible matte vinyl – see Note (waterproof inside finish)
• Two 12mm ( 1/2in) self-cover buttons
• 10 x 35cm (4 x 14in) of 0.2mm clear tabletop vinyl – see Note (flap over brushes)
• Stiff paper or three precut 1/2in hexagon papers
• Fabric-basting glue (optional)
• Turning tool (optional)
DMC Stranded Embroidery Cotton in Black (310) and Red (321)
• Erasable fine-pointed fabric-marking pen or pencil
• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot and, if you have one, walking foot
• General sewing supplies

Stitches used: Chain stitch, running stitch, straight stitch

Finished size: 22 x 39cm (8 1/2 x 15 1/4in) open; 22 x 13cm (8 1/2 x 5in) closed
