What is Bush Medijina?

Bush Medijina, the name of our not-for-profit social enterprise, means “bush medicine” in the Anindilyakwa language.

Where is Bush Medijina located? Where do you harvest?

Our base is the Angurugu Community on Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria. We harvest our plants locally; the whole island is home to our medicines.
