CARB BREATHER: THE HOLE STORY

On a tuned Lambretta the chances are it’ll be running a bigger carburettor, and more often than not this will mean cutting a hole in the side panel to help it breathe more easily… or just to get it to fit! The problem arises in where to cut the hole to get it central to the mouth of the carburettor. If it’s off-centre then not only will it look odd, but is also pointless as it’s not doing the job it was intended for. Before cutting the hole there are certain things that needed to be looked at to make sure you get the position as accurate as possible.
