100 YEARS AGO APRIL 1918
ON March 15 the London and North Western Railway steamer Rathmore was in collision with a naval boat. Six hundred and forty passengers, mainly military, were taken off by destroyers and landed at Kingstown. Several passengers were reported missing and twenty of the survivors were injured. The Rathmore did not sink but was towed to Dublin.
