100 YEARS AGO MARCH 1918
ELECTRIC light has recently been substituted for gas at Lancing, London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. The station including platforms, signal box, booking hall and other departments is being illuminated by electricity, supplied from the Carriage Works Power House at Lancing which is fitted with diesel engines.
