Waistbands – a couture method
BEFORE you cut your garment, decide how wide you want to make the waistband. The following instructions are for a waistband 2.5cm (1in) wide, so the waist seam is increased to this width. See photo 1.
Next, cut your waistband three times the finished width plus 1cm (⅜in). Also add an
