Dangerous Liaison

Our story started 10 years ago when a guy named Deon called me out of the blue looking for a stand-in to replace a girl who had bailed last minute on their Drakensberg Grand Traverse record attempt. He had remembered meeting me at a New Year’s Eve party two years prior and recalled that I was quite fit then as I was training for Ironman.

I had a missed call from an unknown number saying that his name was Deon and that he had a crazy challenge for me. To this day his number is still saved on my phone as Crazy Deon!
