We spoke with two trail runners about the relationship between their depression and the sport.

Zoe Papadakis and Pieter Steyn are well-known in their trail communities, Zoe as a KZN race snake, and Pieter as the founder of ultrarunner.co.za.

They were enthusiastic about sharing their challenges with us, and hope that the awareness of depression will enhance understanding and diminish stigma.
