    Judge Dismisses Ashley Judd's Sexual Harassment Claim Against Harvey Weinstein

    But the federal judge also said the actress could proceed with the defamation part of her lawsuit against the former mega-producer.

    Ashley Judd can continue with the defamation part of her lawsuit against disgraced former movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, a judge ruled Wednesday.

    A federal judge in California has dismissed Ashley Judd's claim of sexual harassment in her lawsuit against disgraced former mega-producer Harvey Weinstein. But the judge also said Judd can pursue her accusation that Weinstein tried to ruin her career after she rejected his advances.

    Weinstein is facing charges of five counts of later this year. Dozens of women have accused Weinstein of rape and sexual misconduct that allegedly took place over decades. Weinstein has said his encounters were consensual and that he never sexually assaulted anyone.
