GOING COMMANDO

WE don’t see a lot of custom bikes built around Norton Commandos, especially compared with classic Triumphs. There is a reason for this. At first glance elegantly simple, Commandos are relatively complex beasts, especially in terms of their ‘Isolastic’ chassis, which separates the engine, gearbox and swingarm from the main frame. Yes, long story, but cutting them up is more problematic than earlier Nortons and almost every other British bike before or after it.

That didn’t stop Swedish bike builder Adam Nestor from having a, on the finished bike’s debut earlier this year.
