I am to be alarmed. While its true that I don’t really have an ‘off’ season and I ride pretty much all year round, I’m typing this on New Year’s Day, a time for looking forward coupled with a desire not to repeat the mistakes of the previous 12 months. From a motorcycling perspective that means checking tyre pressures before setting out, ensuring you have enough petrol to get home again and remembering that British bikes require different spanners, cables and spares to the Japanese and European stuff.
