Look, I’ll admit it: I’m a bit of a cheapskate. But then I suspect – and please don’t take this the wrong way – you probably are too! Saving a few readies is one of the reasons many of us choose to grow our own after all. Along with outstanding taste and the freshest food you could ever enjoy, of course.
One of the great things about home-grown fruit and veg is that the same harvests can be had for either pennies or pounds – which is up to you and it depends on how much time and skill you care to devote. Personal wealth needn’t matter; gardening is a great leveller.
