Get Somewhere

When I cross the bar, and I hope it’s not too soon, I want somebody to bury me alongside a GM 6-71 diesel. King Tut had a chariot in his tomb to carry him across to the next world, Vikings were interred with their ships (not a bad idea either), but I’ll count on a naturally aspirated Jimmy, maybe the most reliable internal-combustion engine ever built, to carry me to the Pearly Gates. Riding that 71, I know I’ll meet St. Peter at the appointed hour. (And if I’m a little late, will it matter?)
Too bad modern diesels
