This month, we talk about charging our batteries while we are driving, and how Victron Energy products can be used to achieve an optimal charging solution.

There are many different vehicle setups – some 4x4s have canopies, which contain their dual-battery systems, and some tow 4x4 trailers or caravans. Usually, the towing vehicle’s alternator must provide all the charging current while on the move.

We find that vehicle owners are increasingly being geared up to move further away from camp sites, where their systems are working off-grid and have no access to 220 Volt charging. Under these circumstances, the charging system must be reliable and sized correctly.

The biggest threat to
