10 ways to… BREAK THE RULES!

Rules are made to be broken, so the old saying goes. And that’s certainly the case with photography, where you really don’t have to be bound by everything you’ve learned since first picking up a camera. Some of the technical aspects of photography are carved in stone for sound reasons – they have helped define the visual grammar for the medium for more than 150 years – but in a world that has never been as saturated with photos as the present day, it’s getting ever harder to make your images distinctive and to ensure that your skills as a photographer really stand out from the crowd.
