HONDA GETS READY FOR ELECTRIC FUTURE

Honda’s recent display of the CR Electric prototype has given a strong indication of the Japanese manufacturer’s plans to be ready for an electric future, whenever that may be. The Prototype features a 2018 Honda CRF250R frame which has been modified to incorporate the battery and the electric motor. The CR is fitted with Showa Suspension, Dunlop Tyres and DID rims. The plastics and shaping is similar if not identical to the Honda CRF range and we are a big fan of those graphics!

The bike is designed to be competitive with a 250 four-stroke. The battery is developed by M-Tecm the parent company of Mugen Motorsports. While this is a prototype, the bike is being used to develop technical know-how to continue developing products in the electric market into the future.
