Madspeed: A ‘rub-through’ spectacular!

With the wide variety of customs and builds Dave’s been involved with you could probably be forgiven for thinking that he might have run out of ideas about what to do next. But not with Dave. After a visit to a VW show some years ago Dave got chatting to an owner of a VW Beetle. “I’d noticed the paint job and saw that it had a very ‘old skool’ rub-through paint effect, and after speaking to the owner I decided that I’d transfer the paint style on to one of my own pride and joys, a 1959 Lambretta Series 1.”
