Cinnamon: beyond baking

Growing up in suburban Melbourne, my exposure to cinnamon, this incredible spice, was pretty limited. We had a jar in the spice rack, sure, but it only made an appearance when Mum baked.

Recipes called for modest amounts — a quarter or half a teaspoon here and there
