Rattling top ends are either cam-chain wear or cams eating into their carriers. The former is a relatively easy fix, the latter means potentially huge expense.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Hard to find NOS replacements and, to be honest, a less restrictive pipe should unleash some extra power.

CARBS

Bikes left standing will have gummed-up carbs that will needs serious cleaning. Check diaphragms of CV carbs for holes.

TANK

Check for leaks and corrosion. The fuel tap is a riveted one-piece design
