About this audiobook
The one and only Mrs. Emily Pollifax is a part-time CIA operative and full-time garden-clubbing grandmother from New Jersey. In this adventure, she is off to the Sicilian countryside on a daring mission to rescue John Sebastian Farrell, a former CIA comrade, who was shot while trying to track down a document that allegedly bears the signature of Julius Caesar. With the aid of Kate Rossiter, a feisty young CIA agent who happens to be vacationing there, Mrs. Pollifax and Farrell discover the truth about the Caesar document, and in the process reveal the identities of the members of a secret - and deadly - cartel.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I gave it 4 stars and my favorite line is "I brought sneakers." Mrs.P. is my friend. I love to visit her and hear about her adventures.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Set in Palermo, Italy this mystery is more light-hearted than some of the most recent books in the series. Mrs. Pollifax teams up with John Farrell again (this is the third time they've been featured together) and together they unwittingly expose a major conspiracy. This story is more random and yet filled with lots of fun. There are a couple of romances and eccentric characters.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good fun, as usual. The coincidences are more preposterous than ever; an aunt with an Italian villa enters the story just when the CIA agents need a hideout, and naturally things at said villa are more complicated and full of not entirely legal intrigue. But with this series, I never mind suspending my disbelief, because I know exactly what I'm in for ... and nowadays, getting to escape into an universe in which good consistently kicks evil's butt is a good thing.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Mrs. Pollifax packs her garden hat and sneakers and head to Sicily to help a trapped CIA agent escape. Her contact there is a 26 year old woman with very little field experience but they make contact with a wounded Farrell and hide out in Kate's aunt villa protected by a stone wall. Of course, things are not as they seem but Mrs. Pollifax manages to sort it all out.
