- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Boring and gimmicky
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What a fun book. The author takes a collection of Chekhov stories and replaces all the characters with modern celebrities. The results are sometimes funny, but overall make the story just a little more relatable.
I listened to the audio and overall a fun listen. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5f you think Anton Chekhov's writing would be too staid, too removed from modern life to be worthwhile then Celebrity Chekhov is an inventive (and very amusing) retelling of some of Chekhov's most famous stories, recast with celebrities. Greenman does an excellent job fitting personalities to stories, making Chekhov accessible to new readers and treating old fans to a new prism through which to view his works. Great fun. Guest stars include: Paris Hilton, David Letterman, Tiger Woods and Jack Nicholson.
