About this audiobook

Everything is about to change...

After months of facing nothing but blank memories, "Eddie" remembers his name - Luke - and his past seems within his reach. But there are still many pieces left to place.

Meanwhile, miles away in Lancaster County, everything has changed in Luke's former life. His house is occupied by Englishers. His own parents believe he is dead. And caught between her undying love for Luke and her need to provide for her son's future, Meredith has grown closer to Jonah and closer to marriage.

Can Luke salvage the rest of his memory and return home before it's too late?

And so I finally come to the end of this 6 novella serial story. Throughout the book, the readers have known both sides of the story and been in the odd position of knowing things characters in the story don't. For me, that made it frustrating at times. The cover combined with the title is a bit misleading, but I guess the publishers didn't want to give away the ending. I liked that the characters considered marriage as a serious thing and didn't enter into it lightly. WARNING: SPOILERS MAY FOLLOW. READ MORE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION:***I felt sorry for Jonah with how things turned out. I can't fault him for his actions--he didn't know Luke was still alive (even though we readers did). His intentions toward Meredith were honorable and I do think he loved her--probably more than she loved him. Because I do think Meredith's mom was right to be concerned that Meredith was marrying Jonah not because she truly loved him but for financial security and for her son to have a father. Likewise, I can't really fault Susan for falling in love (or at least being infatuated) or Eddie/Luke for having feelings toward Susan. At the time, neither knew he was already married (though, again, we as readers did). I did like the Bailey family. They seem warm and loving and to really care about each other and others. I was glad that Luke's mother seemed to get over her insistence that Meredith couldn't get remarried--though in the end, that wouldn't have been such a big issue. I think her real worries were about being able to still be part of her grandson's life. It would have been better if she'd just voiced them instead of acting the way she did, but it does provide a life-lesson that others might see.

“Seriously?!” As my daughter would say. Wow. I was so curious to find out how it would end and never once in all of my imagining along the way could I ever have thought up a better ending. There were plenty of surprises. And while I really wanted to know what was going to happen, I still enjoyed the story through to the end never feeling anxious. The storyline was heavy but so well written.

OH I loved the ending. Jonah and Meredith are planning their wedding and even though Meredith has some reservations she is readying herself to be Jonah's wife and she knows that Jonah will be a good dad to Levi.Luke finally realizes who he is and gets a lot of his memories back and is suddenly in a rush to get home. He is so appreciative and kind of saddened that this family who was so wonderful to help him through this hard time in his life is going to be missed by him. They of course re assure him that they will keep in touch and feel that he is a part of their family.A must read to see if Luke makes it home before Jonah and Meredith get married and what kind of reaction everyone at home has. I am going to miss these characters and wish there were more to find out what happens after.

This was the last book of an excellent series of books! I would recommend this series as a enjoyable read for anyone! The writer was superb at telling the stories in vivid detail, making one sense they were there watching them along the sidelines in each story.

This was such a good read! I flew through the pages because I just had to know how it ended. I was not disappointed! If you plan to read A Vow for Always have tissues handy. Through my tears yesterday morning I was telling my husband a little bit of what was going on with Luke and Meredith. I finished reading this book after he left for work. Imagine my surprise when he asked me last night how it ended!I thoroughly enjoyed all 6 parts in this Saga. At the end of each part it ended with a cliffhanger, so of course I had to quickly buy the next part just as soon as it was published. I hope that Wanda Brunstetter will have these characters popping up in other novels she writes. I hated saying goodbye to them!

A great ending to this series! I was beginning to wander if Luke would remember who he is in time to claim Meredith before she marries Jonah. The author takes you right up to the cliff hanger, and then she has all the wonderful pieces fall into place and brings about a lovely "happily ever after" ending. I felt sorry for Jonah, but liked the surprise connection between him and Luke. A well done series, that is really like reading one book with 6 sections to it.

5 STARSWow A Vow for Always is finally here.(Though I decided to read all six parts of the story at same time. I would say the same day but since I was up till 1:30am before I finished it. The Drama was still going strong. Still love the characters and was trying to figure out how it would all workout. A little surprise at the end I did not see coming but should have.Meredith has accepted Jonah's offer of marriage. She still loves her late husband but things Jonah would be a good husband and father for her baby Levi. She figures her love for Jonah will get stronger.Jonah loves Meredith and plans to be a good father for Levi and hope Luke's family will accept him one day.Luke is starting to remember more and more. He is so grateful for the Bailey family that have taken him into their lives.I really enjoyed this cliffhanger of a book. But if I had to buy it each leg of the story it would be expensive. It is not a story that you would want to skip a part of it. Well worth the money.I was given this ebook to read and asked in return to give honest review of it by Netgalley.publication: July 1st 2013 by Barbour Books 128 pages ISBN:1620291479

Grandma Smucker had reminded Meredith Stoltzfus many times that life didn't stop just because a person died. As she struggles with being a widow and mother of baby Levi, Meredith remembers this and realizes that perhaps she will have to let go of her life with Luke and seek a future with Jonah Miller, the Amish neighbor who has expressed interest. She also realizes that even though her father-in-law seems accepting, her mother-in-law Sadie isn't ready for their son to be replaced by another man! Meredith needs help financially and emotionally but she doesn't want to to alienate Elam and Sadie. She wants her son to know his grandparents so what should she do? What would be best for her son --- and for her? Meanwhile, near Philadelphia, there is a young man suffering from amnesia who suddenly remembers that his name isn't Eddie; he doesn't know his last name and he doesn't recall anything else from his past but he does know that his first name is Luke. A Vow for Always is the conclusion of The Discovery--A Lancaster County Saga series and even though it offers a satisfying conclusion, it doesn't promise a happy ending for everyone concerned. Wanda E. Brunstetter shows once again her ability to weave a story that is entertaining, realistic, and inspirational. Fans of Amish fiction will find A Vow for Always an enjoyable book and a satisfying series!
