About this audiobook
The glory of Ancient Greece is all around us, even in the 21st century, because Greece was the cradle of Western civilization. We know about the gods and their characters – Zeus, Athene, Apollo, Ares, Aphrodite – and their heroes, both legendary (Heracles) and historical (Alexander the Great). Architecture, mathematics, politics, philosophy, observation of nature and the cosmos and much more emerged in Ancient Greece. Hugh Griffith’s entertaining but informative account of the people and the history places it all in perspective. An outstanding introduction for younger listeners.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great voice. The Flows fast but keeps it interesting
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good book, it is a shame that there was not more about some great people in ancient Greece, but overall a good book which I thoroughly enjoyed.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good one. I liked how it delivered on some key aspects of old. However, there were places where key dates/years missing that would have allowed one draw a parallel with Roman civilization.
