About this audiobook
Chris Coste dreamed of playing major-league baseball from the age of seven. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What I really loved about this book was Coste's voice throughout: the straightforward yet very personal and intense narrative, coupled with the deadpan bits of humor that left me laughing hysterically. His story is also incredible; it's impossibleto count the number of times he was completely screwed by coaches and scouts alike, yet he stuck with baseball and was rewarded by finally becoming a Phillies player. Coste's patience throughout his 11 years in the minors one unfairness after another is dumbfounding; I'm sure nine out of ten people would have stormed off the field and called it quits after enduring less than half of what Coste went through. Overall, this was a fantastic book, one which I recommend for anyone.
