About this audiobook
Dear listener,
The temperature’s on “sizzle” again in Beaumont, South Carolina, where peach trees are in season and ripe for the picking. So is its newest entrepreneur, Annie Fortenberry, who has inherited her grandmother’s B&B (and its eccentric handyman Erdle Thorney). According to a local psychic she also inherited a spirit from its glory days as a brothel—not the kind of publicity the Peach Tree Bed & Breakfast needs if it’s hosting millionaire Max Holt’s upcoming wedding! If rumors of a naughty, prank-playing ghost aren’t stressful enough, a mysterious man has arrived with an eye on Annie and her master suite. Wes Bridges is all leather and denim, sporting a two-day beard, straddling a Harley, and sending the B&B’s testosterone level through the roof. Annie’s cool demeanor may be dropping as fast as Wes’s jeans, but leave it to her missing ex-husband to dampen the passion! Turns out someone has done him in, and all evidence points to Annie! Wrapped up in a murder plot, Annie must find the killer, save her own neck, and get back to where she was—wrapped up in Wes’s strong loving arms…
We guarantee that you’re going to have as much fun listening to Full Bloom as we had writing it! (Even if we were surprised by the ending!) And you won’t want to miss the hair-raising shenanigans when Fleas, the hound dog, meets the most cantankerous, snooty, bad-tempered, twenty-two-pound orange cat…

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The ultimate chick-lit; the literary form of those 80's romantic comedies that more often than not starred Goldie Hawn or Meg Ryan. I read all of these years ago, long before my online booksite days so they were never reviewed. There isn't much to review really. Full Bloom is pure marshmallow fluff; it's funny and entertaining, but ultimately about as deep as a summer puddle. There's a murder mystery at the base of it that is actually pretty well constructed, but it's obvious the authors' were focussing on the flirtation, the romance, and the laughs, which are of the slapstick variety. The HEA is a given and if you dislike insta-love, you're gonna hate this book. A fun, fast read that will not tax your mental abilities even a little bit, but might entertain you if you see the appeal of Goldie Hawn. :)
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Not as good as Stephanie Series; however, enjoyed it! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5great book by janet and her partner. hit the ground running with excitement from the first page and never let up until the end. great characters. excellent and finally some sex in a book!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Pretty typical Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes fare, the characters are almost always stumbling over situations which cause cascade into farce, it's quite entertaining and with the light touch of the authors isn't too much (at least not for me)Annie Fortenberry has inherited her grandmother's B&B, which was a brothel at one stage of it's past. She's organising a wedding for Max Holt, when her ex-husband's body turns up, she though he had run away but it turns out he had died, actually had been killed and she's the prime suspect. Wes Bridges comes into the picture investigating the disappearance of her ex-husband. She's drawn to him, but will the relationship survive her learning the truth? It's fun, light fare, readable but not terribly deep.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5While amusing, and that is what I was expecting, it was a little too empty for me to really enjoy it. I think perhaps it was overshadowed by the couple of books I finished before it and the one after so while I snickered a few times it didn't leave any of itself behind for me to think about.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I’ve been a fan of this series, but I have to say that I was a little disappointed to find that Jamie and Max weren’t the main characters in this adventure. Instead, we get Annie, the owner of the B & B where their wedding is being held, her mysterious tenant, Wes, and Annie’s missing husband buried in the backyard. It still had all the zaniness that you would expect from Evanovich, and a pretty good red herring that led to me not having a clue who the real bad guy was. There’s one book left in this series, and I’ll definitely be reading it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed the mystery part of this more than the romance. As always with Evanovich, the wacky supporting cast take the book from formula to funny. It seemed overly light while I was reading it, but when I finished I wanted more, which is always a good sign.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The haunted Bed and Breakfast (that was a bordello)and the new romantic couple, made this a fresher story than the previous 2 in the series.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked this book, though perhaps not quite as much as Full Blast, the 4th book right before this one. Still, a few laugh-out-loud moments and scenes that stay with me for a while and make me chuckle even then is how I determine the mark of a good book, and in that regard, this book certainly did not disappoint. I went through the entire book thinking I knew who the murderer was only to be surprised by a twist ending so I appreciated that.
