About this audiobook

BOOK TWO OF THE GALLAGHERS OF ARDMORE TRILOGY

High above the tidy village of Ardmore on a windy cliff, there is magic and music in the air, and #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts will help you find it…

A talented songwriter, Shawn Gallagher spends his days lost in reverie and wonder, oblivious to the wiles of women and the ways of the world. He claims that he’s content with his life, but his music tells a different story—one of loneliness and desperate longing…

No one understands why Shawn doesn’t put his musical gift to profitable use—least of all Brenna O’Toole, a fiercely independent tomboy who has been secretly in love with him for years. But it is only when Shawn gives in to the mysteries of magic that he gets the chance to fulfill his destiny as a man and a musician.

I laughed. I cried. I fell in love with all the characters.

    Thank you, Nora Roberts,

This book in the Gallaghers of Ardmore series was just as delightful as the first. I love that Brenna and Shawn held roles that were not what might be called stereotypical for their genders let alone a romance novel. But the banter back and forth between the two of them and the slow burn of their romance was just perfect. I can't wait to see what else is in store for the third book!

Oh man.... I just. I think this is my least favorite Nora Roberts' book I've read so far. I just felt angry and irritated with the really horrible misogyny in that Shaun seemed to always display. I was annoyed with this whole mentality of I need to bring Brenna around to courting me because she's stubborn thing and she was the one who was originally pinning for him but everyone is like you sure know our Brenna! It's horrible. It just all sucked.

I just love the trilogy. So cleverly woven and heart warming. Just beautiful.
