About this audiobook
THE SHADOWS OF HISTORY ARE THEIR HOME.
THE BLOOD OF HUMANS IS THEIR SUSTENANCE.
NOW THE FUTURE BELONGS TO THEM....
It began at the dawn of history, when a darkness rose from deep within an Egyptian tomb. For thousands of years-long before earth was plunged into an intergalactic battle for its survival-four deathless creatures sowed seeds of destruction and chaos. Surviving on the spilled blood of warriors and innocents from ancient Greece to the ashes of Nazi Germany, the creatures have played a role in conflicts great and small. Now, bound by their common ancestry, separated by their own devious ambitions, and armed with mankind's own modern tools of destruction, the deathless ones know that their time has come-and they have been called together by one brilliant leader. His name is Nosferatu. His vision is to become a god on earth. His ultimate weapon will be a Holy Grail, a force that no mortal man can defeat...but his deadliest enemy may be one of his own....

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good military Sci-fi. This novel is the first book. Entertaining and fast paced read with an intriguing plot. This is the first book of a series of ten. The characters are clearly described. Author (what's his name?) mixes the ancient mysteries-- makes a new possible outcome for our future and what might happened. Does a really good job of weaving into the plot most of the well known alien conspiracy theories. Narrator, Jeffrey Kafer did not do his review on some of the words and they're mispronounced. Where's book #2?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good military Sci-fi. This novel is the first book of this series I've read, so I'll go back and read the others, but if you like any of the author's works, you'll like this one too. Dynamic characters, fast-paced action, and well-developed plots, not to mention the historical tidbits added throughout. One of my top ten favorite contemporary authors, hands down.GoodReads FirstReads Giveaway
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What you see is what you get with this book....good book about aliens and conspiracy theories and government cover-ups. Interesting and entertaining.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Liked it, was good and interesting enough to go find the others in the series now...
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Area 51 was an entertaining and fast paced read with an intriguing plot . I found it hard to put down and immediately ordered the sequel Area 51 The Reply.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Eh, pretty slow going in this book. Couldnt event get into it enough to finish it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is the novel that caught my attention and got me reading this series. I am one that likes to read series in order when I can and this is definitely worth following the time line as the author has laid out. Plus to be a minor conspiracy follower myself, this lends itself nicely to being actually plausible, if a little stretched.
