- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I thought this book was okay if you don't think too much while you are listening. I found the characters to not be very likable and thought they were downright stupid sometimes. I could get into details but that would give too much away. The author wants the readers to dislike the Mom and wants us to feel sympathetic towards the Dad. It is all too convenient. And the way both parents were questioning whether the victim put herself in the situation (she was 12!!!) made me sick to my stomach. I would have stopped listening halfway through but decided to stick it out til the end which was mostly predictable.
