About this audiobook
Discover the truth he wants you to know!
The man in your life is keeping secrets. They're so deep inside he barely knows they're there, much less how to talk to you about them. Yet he genuinely wants you to "get" him - to understand his inner life, his fears, his needs...
In her landmark best-seller, For Women Only, Shaunti Feldhahn reveals what every woman - single or married - needs to know. Based on rigorous research with thousands of men, Shaunti delivers one eye-opening revelation after another, including:
• Why your respect means more to him than your love
• How he feels deep inside about his role as provider
• What it means for a man to be so visually "wired"
• Why sex for him is primarily emotional, not physical
• What he most wishes he could say to you
Now, in this expanded and updated edition, you'll find insights from the latest brain research plus an all-new chapter that shows what's really going on when he seems to "check out." (You'll be surprised and pleased.)
Millions worldwide have already experienced dramatic change in their relationships because of the "aha!" moments and practical ideas in this little audio book. Discover how to love your man for who he really is - not who you think he is.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It's hard for me to not bristle at this book, being a feminist. I don't necessarily consider myself Christian so I didn't buy into all of this books reasonings. But, you can't deny the statistics and a couple of these chapters did at least sort of speak to me. Not a bad idea to read but know that it won't all apply.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very helpful and not at all bashing towards men! :) I read this when I was in a relationship and found it very helpful. I recommend it to any woman who is engaged or married and wants a closer relationship with their guy :D.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I was invited to read this book by a friend, and like so many survey-driven books, am left questioning the survey more than myself. While this book does reveal some inner workings of men that many women might not have perceived, it also, in my opinion, portrays men as shallow creatures with little self control, especially when it comes to sex and physical appearance. This is a spiritual (Christian) based book, so the survey and interpretation of the results are taken through that lens. It's not bad, but like anything, it colors the content in a certain way. The authors admittedly make gross generalizations on their findings, which adds another layer the reader has to work through to apply the information to their own situation. So read with caution, and do your own research, preferably with your significant other.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book has changed my life. It has already helped me understand the men in my life in a completely new way. While I’m still waiting for “my guy”, the truths I learned have provided so much personal healing and enhanced my relationships with my dad, brothers and guy friends. Ladies, READ THIS BOOK!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Opened up my mind to so many things I didn't know before. I was an idiot for not noticing the things she mentioned and i'm forever grateful that she put things in context that i understand.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely loved it. I've been married for a long time and have to admit there was a lot in here I didn't realise (or at least didn't want to realise) but am so glad I know now. It has significantly impacted how I think about my husband.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is absolutely amazing - it provides such wonderful, clear advice about incorporating gender roles in a way that makes relationships work. The survey format is really interesting as well, and backs up Shaunti's arguments beautifully. Every woman should read this book!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5At first this book didn't seem to offer anything really remarkably new - but then I read on... She tells it like it is - and it's refreshing. I was challenged by the results of the polls and I believe I am understanding my husband's mind a bit better especially in the field of what's romantic to him, how insecure he is at being romantic and the necessity of respect in order to feel loved. Very good for married women.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5this book is one of the clearest and most concise books of this type available. it is an easy read while still putting forth important points that all women should know to treat men in a way that *they* feel respected and loved. some of these points can be fairly surprising.the only negative I have about this book is a disapointment at reading it after having listened to the audio version. there is nothing aditional in the book version. but, if you prefer listening to an audio format, this is a plus!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent! Meant for every woman seeking success in marriage life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Extremely helpful to all women, thanks for the valuable information
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really and truly enjoyed this book. Most people who know me will be surprised to hear this, as I'm usually a fiction only type of reader. This book, even though non-fiction, kept me riveted. I couldn't wait to read more. It was inspiring, thought provoking, and well researched. And for a book of non-fiction, that's not even a true life story type book, to bring tears to my eyes in it's final chapter speaks volumes about the emotion the author put into this reading. I am hoping to come out of this with not only a better understanding of my husband, but a better relationship with him (if such a thing is possible since I consider my relationship very strong to begin with) I would definitely recommend this book to anyone currently in a relationship, or with any intention of ever being in a relationship with a man.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Incredible!!
I wasn't sure what to expect; peace of mind: it was definitely not weird.
I learned and applied so much throughout the course of listening. I think it helps to take the bias & translation off our minds in our own current relationships, to hear objective information from surveys of several. Wow! This has helped me understand so much better why we think/behave so differently, and the differences in our brain that we could not know, because we do not experience life the same way. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5After seeing a recommendation of this book on YouTube I decided to go for it and am so happy I have! I no longer dread the idea of marriage as I did 3hours before I read it. I came out of it as a believer that I can be a good wife and can make it work with my future husband because now I understand him better even if I don’t know who he is. Absolutely amazing and refreshing read! Can’t wait to read other books written by this author. Thank you Shaunti??
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely loved this book. What an important knowledge for us women it brings about our loved husbands. I’m sure I’m going to go back to listening it in the future and even buying the physical book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book has given me such insight as to why my husband behaves the way he does. More importantly, it has made me aware of the responsibility I hold for much of the unhappiness we have experienced. I praise God for leading me to this so important information.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Must read; insightful and engaging; exploring the unique ways men think and feel
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Every chapter of the book was quite a revealing one for moment for me. I love the fact that every statement in the book was from a well researched point of view.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This author's books are truly awesome and I am so glad I have found them. Very insightful.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is great. It is an amazing way to learn about the minds of men and how we as women can come along side them and be all that we both have been called to be which is image bearers and ambassadors.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awesome book. Wish I would have found it years ago!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Weird. Junk science. Prejudices. Inner life is equal for women and men because we are all humans.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Hopefully my husband gets better understanding from me.
