- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Very good book for dealing with generalized anxiety, and panic attacks. I read it once straight through, and then re-read it with a highlighter. I then wrote down, in a word document, the passages that meant the most to me. I often refer to this word document when I'm feeling anxious. This book teaches you a lot of techniques on how to deal with your anxiety, and also gives you a physiological overview of what's happening inside your body. When you break down the biology of what's going on, and come up with ways to cope, you're well on your way to conquering your fears, anxieties, and the root causes of your panic attacks. The book is a little dated, and I'm sure there are new techniques; however, you can't go wrong with more knowledge. I recommend this book.
