About this audiobook

Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy are back! These three irresistible angels love their assignments on Earth. They especially love helping people who send prayer requests to Heaven (even though the Archangel Gabriel, their boss, knows they’re going to break his rules)!

This Christmas, Mercy is assigned to bring peace of mind to an elderly man…who discovers an unexpected answer to his prayer.

Goodness is sent to oversee the love life of a young woman afraid to risk commitment a second time.

And Shirley has the task of granting a little boy’s fondest Christmas wish.

Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy go wherever they’re needed. These three charming angels often find themselves in trouble, but somehow things always work out for the best—especially at Christmas.

Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy are back on Earth, and they each have a task, that is, a miracle to accomplish. But there are restraints even on angels, and they must abide by the rules. This delightful novel tells the stories of three different people, what they prayed for, and what happened when the angels got to work. Since it is a Debbie Macomber Christmas book, readers of her books will probably guess how it ends. Still, it is a quick and lovely book to read, at Christmas time or any time.

Well it's Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. You're either a fan or not. I'm a fan.

Light and easy without being a tear-jerker like I've heard some of Macomber's other novels can be. The angels make for fun characters. The story-line isn't too intricate but you don't read books like this for that purpose. Sometimes you just want to smile and feel good. This is like the wine-cooler on the back porch with a good friend. You're not drinking great wine in France, but the company makes the atmosphere just as enticing...at least for the evening.

This is a delightful, untaxing read for the holiday season bringing warmth and goodwill to all. Love the pun of Shirley, Goodness and Mercy, the 3 angels. Recommended to me by some friends who loved the antics of the angels and look forward each year to a new tale.

Where Angels Go by Debbie Macomber is a solid Christmas read. Three angles, Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy have missions on earth that their leader is praying they don't screw up. You become interested in their charges and start keeping you fingers crossed as the book progresses. It is fun and fills you with faith. I'd say this book is a good solid must read for dog lovers and people who study human nature. The story of the gentleman with heart trouble is especially poignant and has legs the story will stick with you. The dating x's was also twisted enough in plot that it gave more food for thought.

3 wings up for Where Angels GoThis was my first Debbie Macomber book, but I will definetely be reading much more of her books. Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are the main characters of this book and provide such insight into how our lives move through life day in and day out. This book makes you realize that you never know how one little gesture, effort or comment can change a person's day. Not only one person, but many people may be affected by just one thing we do. Read lots of Debbie Macomber, she has a true heart and a wonderful gift for writing!I would recommend Christmas Letters by Debbie Macomber and A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg.

In Where Angels Go Debbie Macomber brings back her mischevious angels; Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. Three prayer requestes have reached heaven just days before christmas, and the three angels are put on the cases. An elderly man, knowing he is not much longer for the world, sends a prayer that his wife be set up to be taken care of before he dies. The mother of a young divorced woman prays for her to let someone into her heart. And a young boy prays for what neither santa nor his parnets can bring him: a dog for christmas. All of these prayer requests hit snags, and all must be fulfilled before christmas.I really enjoy reading Debbie Macomber's Christmas novels. They are just as sappy and heartwarming as I could want. This one fell a bit flat, though. It seemed to be three very short stroies that were strung together, and fleshed out in a hurry. There didn't seem to be as much of a feel for the characters or place as she usually manages to convey. And the stories were pretty predictable, without much saving writing or detail. But still, a sweet story to read at christmas time.
