About this audiobook

As a vampire bounty hunter, Morgan Bailey has seen her fair share of strange things. There was the time she got mixed up with a race of powerful immortals known as sunwalkers. Then there was that time she hooked up with a gorgeous Templar Knight. And oh yeah, there was also that time she uncovered the secrets of an ancient Atlantean artifact that everyone was killing each other over. So she’s confident there’s no supernatural challenge she can’t handle—until now.

When a murder investigation leads Morgan to London, she encounters something she never expected to see: dragons. It seems they might not be so extinct after all. Her one chance of preventing certain carnage if the dragons are unleashed is to confront the truth about her own past, and about the Darkness growing inside of her.

The second installment of the series takes our heroine to new levels of power. There are somethings that can not be ignored and Morgan is about to find out just what happens when you do. Keeping in time with the book 1 Morgan is now the reluctant owner of the amulet of Atlantean power. Jack is still as cryptic as ever about its power, intentions and its effects on Morgan.

The book introduces a whole new set of players that could shift the balance of power in the supernatural world; not in a good way. Kabita, Inigo and Trevor are front and center playing major roles in uncovering the insidious scheme. Ms. MacLeod does an excellent job of laying down individual character back-stories. I really enjoyed this one and can't wait for the next "Kissed by Smoke".

Great, creative paranormal with interesting plot twists and quirky- sassy main character. Not you'r typical damsel-swoons-over -vamp novel- in fact, the fanged ones are strictly bad guys in this series! Refreshing. Love the first book in the series, and this one was just as good, if not better than the first-- and I can't wait to read more!
