About this audiobook

I'm too busy. We've all heard it, we've all said it. Sometimes being busy seems like the theme of our lives. Yet this frenetic pace poses a serious threat to our physical, social, and even spiritual well-being. In this mercifully short book about a really big problem, best-selling author Kevin DeYoung rejects the “busyness as usual” mindset, arguing that a life of constant chaos is far from what God intends. DeYoung helps us figure out a better way forward as he strikes a mature and well-reasoned balance between doing nothing and doing everything. With his usual warmth, humor, and honesty, DeYoung deftly attacks the widespread “crazy busy” epidemic and offers up the restful cure we've all been too busy to find.

Kevin DeYoung is such a great writer. He gets to the point and covers both sides of the argument. He humbly shares his own struggles. His ideas for change were helpful and most beneficial was the direction to look at what's going on in our hearts, and to look to Jesus and seek him more. I thought the last line was a great finish: it's crazy and foolish to "live a life with more craziness than we want because we have less Jesus than we need."

This a short and easy listen for busy Christians. It was exactly what I needed to hear. God will speak to you in ways you understand, and this audio book was one of them.
Give the morning (1st portion of your attention and day) to God. Pray, read the bible, worship, be still to listen for God. He will set all your busy ways to His purpose.
